This week Rihanna's Rude Boy rules the Hot 100 at number one. This marks Rihanna's sixth appearance at number one. Jumping 4-1, Rude Boy replaces Rihanna's label mate Taio Cruz's, Break Your Heart dropping 1-3. Last time Rihanna was atop of the Billboard Hot 100 was back in 2008 when she joined forces with T.I. in the hit single, "Live Your Life." This is good news for Island Def Jam Music Group, replacing #1 singles back to back - last time this was done by IDJMG was September 17, 2005, when Kanye West's "Gold Digger" replaced, Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together."
Lady Antebellum remains strong at the number 2 spot with "Need You Know," while Black Eyed Peas' "Imma Bee" regains strength moving up 5-4. Other appearances in the top ten this week are B.O.B's "Nothing On You" jumping 16-5, Train's "Hey, Soul Sister" 7-6, Young Money's "BedRock" tumbling 3-7, Ke$ha's "Tick Tok" dropping 6-8, Lady Gaga and Beyonce' with "Telephone" rising 11-9 after the video premiere this week and Jason DeRulo's "In My Head" falling 8-10.
