Reason To Cop-
I feel like everyone is tense and stressed. Nobody is relaxed too much, nobody is really let go. With cell phones, computers and the other vast amounts of gadgets, were always programming one way or another. This album is relaxing, loving, thought-provoking, nostalgic and magic all rolled into one. That equals REAL. Grammy Snub? I hope not.
Reason Not To Cop-
Stop looking for reasons not to cop.

She's Back! ! !...... Christina Aguilera- Not Myself Tonight
After being absent from the scene for a little while, Christina Aguilera is finally stepping out of the shadows. With her new single "Not Myself Tonight" from the highly anticipated album 'Bionic' on the way, I feel the fans better get ready for a frenzy. Although she only released the lyrics, the anticipation is in the air. I'm pretty sure the naysayers are out in full force, but I'm feeling like she's going to kill the game all over again. As soon as we get our hands on the actual audio for the single, we will get it right to you! Until then, you can check out the lyrics, or stare at the single. Pick one. hahahaha Have a great day!

Classic.....Corrine Bailey Rae
You know when your getting older, you start criticizing the younger kids, your more aware of the examples your setting and you reminisce about memories, which usually translate into music. Even if that isn't your definition, I don't have to reminisce about anything when I listen to Corrine Bailey Rae. The feel of her music is so real, it almost seems too good to be true. I remember being in the movies, on this particular scene. The music always draws me in, but on this scene, Corrine's vocals sashayed out of the speakers right into my heart. I remember rewinding the "only to love you" lyric in my head for the rest of the movie. As soon as I got home, I googled and found out the name of the song was, "Like A Star", sung by none other than Corrine Bailey Rae. Every once and a while, someone comes along with such a raw feel, it sucks you in. That's exactly what happened to me so stay tuned, Friday as I will review her beautiful new album, "The Sea", and ask you to check it out for yourself.

Outkast No More......Big Boi signs with Def Jam
As if things couldn't get more random these days in Hip-Hop, word on the street was Big-Boi was supposedly signing with Def Jam. I heard it and laughed, it didn't seem like a fit, then I realized LA Reid had the reigns. I think LA was Outkast's old boss. Boss right? I don't see how they have a boss. Anyway, the truth comes to the light as the rap veteran posted the big news on his twitter. "THE INK IS ON THE PAPER!!! "BREAKING NEWS!!!!" It's OFFICIAL! BIG BOI signs SOLO album DEAL with DEF JAM!!! More details to come..." Not sure when exactly his new album is supposed to be dropping, but with a title like this>>>> Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, I think it's going to pretty interesting. (Big Boi's Twitter, PP2G)

Young Greatness, America Meet Diggy Simmons
These States Aren't United....Color isn't the blame
This is a music news blog, but sometimes, things are just repeatedly wrong and I feel the need to express. I just watched some excerpts from Barack Obama's interview with Bret Baier. It reminded me of the Frost/Nixon event. In the same manner. Yes, Barack is charismatic and a true leader, the kind of leader that can sway millions of people with ease. My main issue with this interview is about people's beliefs. Every president almost instantly divides a nation. I know as a true fact, that there are people who strongly believe, people who don't, and people who do but are afraid to voice there opinion. Let's bring some facts to light. Barack is clearly the face of the United States. Just like an artist has his manager and writers and producers, there's no way it's all Obama. I don't want to criticize Mr. Baier, I just want to thank him. He showed me that yes, you can have someone in leadership of you, but you don't have to respect them(smh). Regardless of what he was speaking of, it's not what you do most times, it's how you do it. When President Bush was in office, the media bowed at his feet. There were many times he came up to speak and made a fool of himself, but I never once remember an interview where he was disrespected and interrupted blatantly. To watch people applaud the aggressor is natural. Lions take the meal, Hyenas eat what's left. That's understood, but your President is Barack Obama. It's always going to be a give and a take. Learn to help each other, learn to show love for your brother/sister. We all are in need, and it's about time for us to take a real stand.

Rihanna gets "Rude" at #1 on Hot 100
This week Rihanna's Rude Boy rules the Hot 100 at number one. This marks Rihanna's sixth appearance at number one. Jumping 4-1, Rude Boy replaces Rihanna's label mate Taio Cruz's, Break Your Heart dropping 1-3. Last time Rihanna was atop of the Billboard Hot 100 was back in 2008 when she joined forces with T.I. in the hit single, "Live Your Life." This is good news for Island Def Jam Music Group, replacing #1 singles back to back - last time this was done by IDJMG was September 17, 2005, when Kanye West's "Gold Digger" replaced, Mariah Carey's "We Belong Together."

He’s Not Done Yet.....Michael Jackson estate signs record breaking $250 million/10 album deal!!!
Jay-Z has no reason to complain. He’s signed a $150 million dollar deal. I figured that could hold the pinnacle of music deals for a long time. But just when you thought all the Michael Jackson publicity had died down, The King of Pop, moonwalked right back into record-breaking success. Not only did he top Jay-Z’s gargantuan deal, he did it by $100 million dollars. The deal was settled with his estate, of course and it extends his contract with Sony through 2017. SonyCorp is expected to release new material this coming November. Long live the King of Pop!

Successful....Jay Z breaks ground in Brooklyn Baby!!!!
Men lie, Women lie, Numbers don't!! Jay Z recently broke ground in Brooklyn for the Barclays Center, future home of the New Jersey Nets. Besides balancing one of the world's biggest check books, and performing for sold out crowds, Jay managed to squeeze in time to let his presence be known. I know it's not really about that, but I mean, look how far hip-hop has come!

Battle of The Sexes...Ludacris 1-Ladies 0
On Tuesday (March 9) the one and only Ludacris dropped his new album "Battle of the sexes." The album features a male/female point of view features guest appearances from Monica, Lil Kim, Trina amongst others. Fueled by his platinum selling hit "How Low" and the more recent "My Chick Bad" Luda is on fire right now. I haven't had a chance to listen to the album in it's entirety, but from the first two singles, Luda has clearly grown in his artistry. The album is projected to sell 120k first week. Big ups to Ludacris who still continues to represent growth.

Chris Brown reaches out to fans for help
Recently, Chris Brown went to his SayNow page to seek help from his fans.
I ain’t never really did this but right now I need all of my fans help. A lot of radio stations aren’t playing my records. They are not being that supportive and I wouldn’t expect them to. It’s on the fans and what you guys do in your power to bring me back. That’s all I need is you guys and nothing else will do that except for the fans.
I don’t know what else to say. It’s nothing else that I can do. I’m doing everything that I need to do. I’m doing me as a person and I’m a better guy.
It’s on ya’ll. My singing and my music I do it for you guys and everything else but it won’t be possible if I’m not relevant on the radio and it wouldn’t be possible for me to be an artist if I don’t have the support. I can’t be an underground mixtape artist. That’s where we are. I just want all my fans to help me. I love ya’ll. Peace

Bow Wow Readies New, Edgy, Double Disc Album
Rap Veteran Bow Wow, a.k.a Shad Moss says he's working on a new album. The 23 year old veteran hints at a more edgy release for his current demographic, new fans and of course the ladies. After signing to Cash Money Records in 2009, he's taking his music to another level. "People forgot I was running with snoop at 6, I was cussing and all that. So it's like another person inside me who wants to make a rap album that I could never make." The new album will be split between the girls and the gents and will contain actual songs he wants to share with his fans. More recently, he's been gaining momentum in the rap community with the guys who used to write him off as a gimmick. With his greenlight series gaining buzz and being downloaded like crazy (over 71,000 downloads) he's slowing putting together a platform to claim his spot amongst rap's elite. The album is yet to be titled.
